Who we are

Our Story
Chhattisgarh Agricon Samiti is a non-governmental organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860). It works with more than 75000 families in over 700 villages in 15 districts of Chhattisgarh. CG Agricon works for ensuring agriculture-based livelihoods support to poor and marginalized people. Nearly three-fourths of the families Agricon works with belonging to Scheduled Tribes. Agricon is in the process of expanding its activities in the remote area of tribal districts. Agricon is a group professional from different stream of agriculture, engineering, education, management determined to Be the change in Society and work as a catalyst to increase the scope and speed of developmental strategies. Earlier Agricon’s MISSION was to develop income-generating opportunities at the village level through integration of natural resources. Grassroots action to promote and strengthen livelihoods for the rural mass is Agricon’s primary work focus. In all places, women are central to the project interventions. But with the change and perception of development in the last decade Agricon has reworked on its Vision and Mission. Now Agricon is working towards well being of people considering HDI as the benchmark. Agricon has decided to work in the Field of Health and Education also and has Named it as Mission 2.0

Our Mission

Chhattisgarh Agricon Samiti has been working in rural areas of Chhattisgarh to enable Better Livelihood opportunity with better Natural Resource Management. For better livelihood intervention we are focusing on Household and each member of Family Specially Females. Samiti is also working in area of Health and Education along with Clean energy and sanitation. Overall Mission of the Team is to increase the HDI of its working area above the level of National Average of India i.e 0.454
