Development has no meaning if half of the population is bereft of it. Therefore, working for the empowerment of women, is not just important but essential.
Our Interventions
Developed and supported over 1100 women SHGs engaging 11,000 women.
Intervened in financial inclusion of women, mushroom cultivation, Household Dairy production, and nutrition gardens.
Developed a ‘Women Empowerment Framework’ including intervention plans on the 3 aspects of women development – Women as an agency, societal structures surrounding women, gender roles and power dynamics in interpersonal relationships.
More than 60% of our beneficiaries in the last FY have been women.
Hired ~46% women staff members and provided them with essential period leaves to promote an equitable workplace.
Our Impact
- Reached out and benefitted to more than 3,60,000 women in the last financial year.
- ~15,500 women and girls were made aware of correct Menstrual Hygiene Management practices in FY 22-23.
- ~ 14,700 pregnant women & new mothers were made aware of correct breastfeeding practices, mother & child vaccinations, and institutional delivery in FY 22-23.
- About 10,000 adolescent girls are encouraged in a year to consume healthy and nutritious diets.
